The Good. The Bad. The Ugly.

The bad. You don’t get all the goodies today. This is far too much for a single post. Far far far.

The ugly. The bottom line is this project was way more challenging, detailed, and time consuming than I ever imagined possible! It was the most complicated easy thing I’ve done in my life, and lets just say it took me six months to complete. I’ll also start by pointing out that I had never sewn anything a day in my life, none the less detailed toys for a two year old.

The good. I will give you patterns. I will share with you what not to do (like using a metal hammer on the clasps that hold the book together). I will shower you with images of “successful” pages. And I will guide you into not messing up the same things I did. Live and learn – live and learn!

Hi – I was interested in the quiet book pattern mentioned in this article. But I don’t see the patterns anywhere? The article keeps mentioning a pattern but then the pattern doesn’t show up anywhere on the site? Thanks for your assistance.

Oh my! My site went down in Christmas/January and deleted a few things. I will make the page more easily understandable. The patterns are there and still coming. I’m sure you aren’t the only one with this qustion. Basically, this quiet book is an alphabet book. Each page has its own pattern, published every Monday over the course of 3 weeks. At the bottom of this page, there are three thumbnails for three new pages: A,B, and C. D-Z are coming in order on future Mondays.

HOWEVER, it appears A & B are missing their patterns! C’s is on the page. If you have an email address, I can email you patterns ASAP for A&B until I can load them to the pages. Thank you so much Ellen for bringing this to my attention!

Each pattern is on each page (6 patterns are missing, but will be re-added from a site crash). Joining the newsletter gives you an e-book of all the printable patterns.

Donna, I appologise for taking a couple of weeks to reply! I have lost access and information to my entire website 4 times in the past 6 months, so I am in the process of trasnferring everything to a new hosting company in hopes it resolves my VERY hectic and exhasuting issue. The links at this page do not work yet, but once all pages are posted (about 8 more weeks) all of the pages will be here: http://freshlymessy.com/ultimate-felt-quiet-book/

I will consider at that time combining all 26 patterns into one e-book that an email subscription can attain you; i will have to check the overall size of the book first though. Thank you for the suggeestion! I appreciate it!

I’m so sorry; I am correcting this now. My site crashed and I didn’t realize that when I uploaded the backup, links would be lost like that. My appologies! There are a few pages at this date twoard the end of the book that are still lacking their patterns. I must recreate them due to the site crash as well.
